Directions:

1. Bring water to a rapid boil (See package for appropriate amount)

2. In a skillet heat approx. ⅔ cup of oil.

3. Pour the contents of the package in a mixing bowl.

4. Pour boiling water into the mixing bowl with the Hot water cornbread mix and stir until mixed well.

5. Add ¼ cup of oil to the to the cornbread mixture and stir in until mixed.

6. Scoop the cornbread mixture by the spoonful or shape into patties and place in skillet with hot oil.

7. Fry in hot oil until golden brown on each side.

8. Drain on paper towel and serve warm
